Not sure why it would upset anyone... Captures the irreverent spirit succinctly.

Happy (invasion day as some of the more loony lefties around here call it) Australia day.

Room for every view and opinion, which makes this a fairly rare country.

Because some people live to be upset and/or offended. It's their reason for being.

Yep. A country where everyone, generally, gets along, making it a great place to live

Despite the fact we have another 'home' elsewhere, I was particularly homesick away this year.

Great to be back to a Melbourne summer.

(It's not even that hot this year - all is still nice and green!)

Must say, I do want to visit Melbourne to experience the much oft spoken variable climate and heritage.

Nothing wrong with the jingle, if ever so slightly irrelevant. A bit like Australia on the world stage and in the minds of many , I suspect. Go Straya.

It's just a silly video on YouTube Herman so don't read too much into it - but then again......

The relevance/irrelevance of Australia on the world stage is directly proportional to the hater/whinging factor of the opinion holder

Well Heindrich most you offer does consist of a definite right wing bend to it even if unintentional.

It's bent not bend - do keep up Herman the German

My right-wing bent is not unintentional

I am unashamedly hard-right and ultra-conservative

I am well aware Heindrich of your affiliations, I mean clear for all to see. Just surprised you haven't sold your mercenary attributions to the highest bidder on the African continent.

Why have you not been shamed yet? Is there a season for humble pie on the Australian forum? Is this like a captive breeding program so are plenty of hard-right ultra conservatives for future generations to humiliate?

Just baiting...obviously ;).
