Default The Stone Roses

Have reformed and playing three gigs next summer before possibly headlining T in the Park.

Think they'll come to Brisbane?

It's a possibility, they were very popular here in Australia in their heyday.

Seen them in the early 90's at Glasgow Green, it was fantastic.Would love another opportunity to take a trip down memory lane.

Unlikely. All tickets sold out in 14 minutes.

I don't see their appeal here as worth the trip to be honest. Maybe as part of the festival scene?

I'm a big fan of the 'Madchester/Baggy' thing and my live music obsession started in 1994 but I'd rather watch an up and coming local band for a fraction of the cost.

Live Forever is a Britpop doco well worth watching btw ...

Yup, Coogan is ace.

While we are in that era ... Control is a good Joy Division movie. A bit downbeat (of course) but good all the same.

Early 90's was a great time. Inspiral Carpets,Charlatans (The only SONG i know ...)Primal Scream - or anything that Andrew Weatherall got his mits on and of course the Mondays. Always a great gig. Last time was 'Get Loaded in the park' Clapham Common 2002ish. I know I had a great time but don't remember much

I remember going to Spike Island to see the Stone Roses when I was about 13. Couldn't believe people were just openly offering all sorts of drugs around. Drank my four cans of cider - puked up in a port-a-Loo and missed the gig.

True that Ian Brown can't sing, but Reni (in my entirely unbiased opinion) is one of the best drummers I've ever heard.
