Spouse Visa Application
 

I submitted my Spouse Visa (Married) application on the 6th May. After loosing our medicals a couple of times we still have not heard back.

Our house has sold and we complete on the 11th July. Wondering whether to resign this week so I dont have to find temporary accomodation to carry on working as we dont know anyone locally and had planned to move in with family up country for our last couple of weeks in the UK.

Joint mortgage for 4years plus, lots of shared bills, one son with another baby on the way. Have been waiting for 3 weeks for the LCU to consider my medicals

Too much of a risk?? Is it taking so long for a reason or is this normal.

I really can't advise you about whether to resign or not.... that's really a judgement call for you. Can you afford to?

I would try to find out if your medicals are with a case officer. You should have at least been told this. Plus if you used the silver envelope, you can track your number through the Post office website to make sure that it's been received at the other end.

Spouse visas are usually processed quickly, some take as little as a couple of days as long as you frontloaded everything... Did you put your passport in the application? That saves a little time.
And as long as you've given them as much info as they requested, you can do no more than wait, after checking they have everything.
Sometimes there's a bit of a wait, but it depends on how busy they are right now.

You could always get your family up country and carry on working for a couple of weeks by staying in a cheap B+B couldn't you? So don't do anything drastic if you're feeling unsure about it and just sit it out if you're unsure.

It definitely sounds as though you've enough to get through on the relationship requirements, so I am stumped unless there is a medical or maybe police question as well?

No advice to offer really, except to say good luck, and I"m sure you'll be fine if you wait it out...
