I really would love to have that attitude towards (them, hate even printing the word ) but I just can't.

I used to be terrified of them. I pretended to like them and now I do. I just convinced myself. It's like denial, but backwards. Works for me.

Mmmm... I do like the idea of the virtual therapy for phobia's, trouble is, I can't accept that they ask you to then touch a real hairy tarantula afterwards

I can never see myself doing that, but others who were as extreme as me that had the therapy then went on to touch the spider.

Ive got a great picture of a largish female huntsman carrying a hundred or so little babies on her back. I have to figure out how to get it onto the computer from my old phone.

Hell - I'd never touch them! Not in a month of sundays... But they're really quite interesting to me now. And some of them are really lovely looking. I like the triple rows of eyes the wolfy spider has.

And this is a brown trapdoor spider. I don't think she's pretty.

And this is a pretty huntsman...

And this is a not so pretty funnel web:

This one is probably an orb weaver type thing:

Don't let that put you off. You've got nothing to worry about honestly.

Some pics and details here. I think (not sure) that the wolf spider or jumping spider is part of the huntsman clan. There are many different types (and colours) of huntsman.

I hate cockroaches and scream like a girl when I see them. They laugh at me at work as I did my snake catching course yet I cant go near a roach.

Cockroaches ought to be illegal - I mean really illegal.

That is actually quite amazing - all those babies clung to her back. Although I would not want them in my living room.

It's ok. You just open the door and out they go.
