Yeh, that is the first thing that strikes me, it implies non Queenslanders are somehow inferior or not significantly helping.

I've been impressed by Bligh generally though.

A politician showing emotion? Can it be true?

I have run her down no end as QLD premier but credit where it's due. She is performing magnificently in this turmoil and under what must be tremendous pressure.

I agree Bix. I would have hung her from the nearest tree for selling Qld's assets but credit where its due. She has been in the thick of it and done her job with dignity and feeling. Good on ye hen. Ye'v went up in ma estimations.

That's the point I made to our media girl. She atarted on the old "fit it or leave...." stuff  then I pointed out that our office currently had several Victorians helping out, and furthermore if she went to Vic to help and they kept saying "thanks to our fellow Victorians" then as a non-Victorian how would she feel.....
Media girl shuffled off quietly, point well and truly made!

Not just bushfires, but floods in WA as well. http://www.watoday.com.au/wa-news/we...220-1928q.html Yet WA getting less money for rebuilding than Qld http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/west...-1225983629837

I used to not have a lot of time for Anna Bligh but I think through this she has been honest, upfront with her 2 hourly news conferences. She has been emotional and it has been honest emotion.
Most of all she looks bloody knackered! You know she has been working damn hard to look as tired as she had been.

Most of all, she lives here. Her family were in the thick of it being evac`d adn she stood there infront of QLD and did her job.

Thats enough for me!

What is the obsession with bread and milk?!

We have no fridge, what shall we buy, something that preserves or goes off?
