Evenin' all!
Been a while since I posted; we've been in Sydney for almost seven months now, have just moved out of an apartment into a house, and have come across our first really unwelcome local resident - while tidying up round the pool, I came across a four foot long discarded snake skin, and I was wondering where the best place to get it identified would be.
This is particularly important as our cat is just being allowed out of the house, and our 7 year old daughter likes to play in the undergrowth at the back of the garden. Any herpetological experts out there?

This one is brown all over. Probably a Common Brown Snake, which is not the best of news, as they're pretty toxic. Hopefully it's hibernating at this time of year, especially with the weather.
