You'll find a little biological washing powder left to soak, then scrubbed, works wonders.

Ah, never thought of the biological washing powder. I like to use anything natural before trying crap like oven cleaner. After all the chemicals I'm not sure whether natural, less caustic remedies are going to work.

Works brilliantly on scrambled egg pans too. I avoid using anything too caustic, esp on good pots like Le Cruset etc.. eats the enamel, esp salt.
