Good luck, although I'm sure you won't need it. :)

I am off the booze for March anyway so I'm (temporarily) cured.

So, here's the thing ...

In the interests of thorough research I actually read The Wonder Book from cover to cover today in full cynic mode (I have no other) ... no, didn't buy it and didn't have it given to me ... don't ask ...

(Yup, LisaD_uk, you actually prompted me to read something I didn't want to read, ironic huh?!).

And ... Goddammit if it doesn't make a lot of sense.

Nothing I didn't know already but presented in a way that makes smoking just seem ... well ... stupid and of no value WHATsoever (including psychologically).

Yeh I knew that really but ... anyway, it's very well thought out and covers most (all?) of questions yer average smoker has contemplated at one time or another.

Have I had a blazing flash of light complete with celestial serenade? No.

Am I stopping from this moment forth? No, because a little bit of me has not fully committed to the idea.

Will I buy another pack after the end of this one?

Maybe not.

Sincerely,
Surprised Of Brisbane.

LOL Well I don't bloody believe it, you could have knocked me down with a feather when I read this post.
I haven't been on here much of late and I thought I would check in to see how everyone was doing and by the looks of things its going great.
Vim I am so glad that our little spat (mwah mwah) may have led you to have a look at this book, doesn't it just make sense! I would love to send you some Karma but I am unable to so I just wanted to say I'm glad you gave it a chance and now you know why I recommended it;) Take care.

After reading his book I can only say one thing:

I am a non-smoker and will not pick up another cigarette as long as I live.

Anyone who knows me, will not believe that :D but my whole perception of smoking and stopping smoking has changed within the 3 hours it's taken me to read that book to the point where I feel physically sick at the thought of having another cigarette.

I still haven't had a ciggie since I posted this

It is amazing. This time last year I couldn't even imagine giving up and now I wouldn't have another one if you paid me.

It really does give you a sense of freedom - no more of your whole life revolving around that next cigarette fix - it's fantastic!! :D
