Re: Sleeping Tablets
Sleeping tabs not a good idea - incase of emergency you will be in la la land.;)
A couple of slugs of Night Nurse was my OH solution - mine is inflight films. |

We had some basic sleeping tablets from our doc and immigration at Sydney thought we were drug dealers!! We had 24 tablets which contained tamazipan? and immi said that they were 'Highly illegal in Australia and you could receive a $2000 fine ' He then got his manager, who then got someone else.... who counted them and said we could keep them - at one point I said they could keep them - After a 25 hour flight with 2 kids and OH and not being 'home' for 15 years I seriously thought they were going to refuse our entry... They let us and the tablets go through  Check the website for what is allowed to save the hassle  J x |
Re: Sleeping Tablets
If you've never taken any before, some of the natural ones should work. Go into a Health food place and ask for something from them.

Re: Sleeping Tablets
I get awful motion sickness and find the best thing is Avomine - being a bit slow on the uptake, I now realize these are antihistamines and was wondering why I sleep so well on flights. They do make sleeping easier for me anyway! I probably shouldnt indulge also in a bottle of merlot with dinner but what the heck!

Re: Sleeping Tablets
Friend of mine took Mogodon on a flight to Aus. Sadly, plane diverted to LA on emergency where he realises the only thing he can move is eyelids.
Everyone held up as plane staff believe he's had stroke. Doctor called onto flight. Everyone very concerned. Frantic blinking makes everyone realise he's speaking in code. Two blinks yes, one blink no. Tells them what's happened. Lots of blinking, drooling.... (him, not the staff) Wheeled from plane on trolley, Hanibal Lecture style, drooling... blinking... Taken to hospital. Drug wears off. Given massive bill by US hospital, put on another flight to Aus. Never takes mogodon ever again. Gets years of free beers for very funny story. |
