It's vodka & cranberry juice for me today. I have some frozen grapes to use in place of ice so it doesn't get watered down.

The pool is perfect so I shall be sitting in it to drink.

Frozen grapes are lovely just to suck on to cool down.

Stones Ginger Beer is my favourite instant thirst quencher. Might get some in, it's expected to be 32 degrees here tomorrow

Bought some today. Yes definately a great thirst quencher

The only other thirst quencher that comes close is the isotonic soft drink: 100Plus, sold in Malaysia

Actually, that's what I did:o. It's quite a big bottle, though (and I don't drink much).

I would, if we had aircon. Instead, it's keep the windows and curtains closed and get the fans working. Which reminds me, I must ring the curtain/blind place who didn't get our order ready before Christmas:demon:. That is, we don't have any blinds or curtains in the kitchen/living area at the moment, just window tinting, so you pretty much have to wear sunglasses indoors in this part of the house at the moment:ohmy:.

I would think it gets hot in those sun drenched rooms too. We have a portable aircon but reserve it's use for only the very hottest of days. Tomorrow might be one such day: 35 degrees is expected

Right now, a lovely cool breeze has descended on this side of Canberra.

He's probably melted onto his pool chair, it's still stupidly hot here, 35.3 degrees at almost 11 pm:eek:.

Up at 6, despite not going to bed till after midnight. DD enjoyed her party, but two guests got the wrong day, so they are coming on Monday!!

I think DD was very vague in her invites- the first lot apparently had no time or date, just asking if they were free to come to her party. For a reasonably clever girl, sometimes she isn't that bright!

Unusually, no hangover. I slowed the drinking down later on and finished by 10pm

Not trying to be a tough guy, but I didn't mind the weather yesterday. I like the heat and it only got to just over 40c (it is usually a bit cooler here than down the hill) - I've certainly experienced hotter weather. Dry heat is fairly easy for me to handle (don't like humidity). Having a pool and A/C certainly helped!

Hot again today but a bit cooler than yesterday
