Aye.

Doesn't affect me as I prefer using the home pool anyway.

This time of year you can only swim in the nets at the beaches due to the stingers so can't really enjoy that.

I believe the main Northern beaches have been closed for a week or two because of croc sightings.

Stan lives up that way so could confirm if she was here.
Actually maybe that's why she isn't here

Dont you love the Sun , always balanced never sensationalising.

The story about the sharks coming in and closing the beaches was about 2 days before that bloke got bitten on the foot by a baby shark they werent related but never let the truth get in the way of a good story eh..

One thing about Aus (well Qld at least ) there are no tabloid papers - its really funny, walk in the newsagents and there are just 2 broadsheets Australian and Courier Mail. The weekend paper is a bit tabloidy in parts but there's none of this crap about 'so - and - so from neighbours got caught snogging so-and-so from celebrity little sister in an alleyway in Sydney last night ' .

In different areas to where the sharks were

Quote: Fisheries Minister Tim Mulherin urged swimmers to stick to those beaches patrolled by lifeguards and protected by shark nets.

Not only that, but the wrong beach too (about 200km away)

[QUOTE]On Monday an 18-year-old man was bitten on the foot by a shark in 30cm of water on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, north of Brisbane. Ch9

Good old Sun, what a load of bollox.

Makes it sound as though people were being chased down the road by machete wielding sharks.

Went down Surfers on Sunday and at various points the surf guys got everyone out of the water.

It was good to see it on the news, but it wasn't that big a drama.

Paul.

Have just had a brain wave do the cane toads not kill the sharks as well so if all unwanted cane toads thrown into water solves both problems.
