The weather will be a shock - heatwave to winter. It's not usually this way around.

Thanks all for the good wishes. It's nice to be home
I'm not too happy with Emirates though, first bad experience I've had with them. The flights themselves were great, but we were delayed for an hour in Manchester. Not because of aircraft problems or the weather, but because 4 guests hadn't boarded. What the....? All became clear when 4 blokes in flowing white robes regally sauntered into first class. I don't care who they bloody were, keeping 500 people waiting for 4 passengers is bloody disgraceful.
We travelled business class and I made sure we had a 2.5 hour stopover in Dubai, as I like a stroll around before the next long flight (and a ciggie or two). Because we were an hour late into Dubai, we'd lost our space and had to wait another half an hour before the aircraft could be parked (docked?). Then we had to travel to a different terminal, so by the time we arrived in the lounge we had half a bloody hour before we had to board our flight to Perth. NOT HAPPY.
We have a short list of 8 properties to view over the next week. Everything crossed we find something quickly.

Welcome back to Oz, SOS. Hope one of the 8 properties fits the bill for you and the other half and that you can resettle quickly and nicely.

Welcome home. So if I recall, you sold in Perth, went to the UK and bought, (did you sell in UK?), then buying again in Perth?
Isn't buying and selling a home one of the most stressful things you can do?
Not a big fan of Emirates here. Emirates like Singapore staff are trained robots. I like an airline where they are happy to go outside the playbook.

We looked at one yesterday and both loved it immediately, we've put an offer in but unfortunately the seller has had a death in the family and the real estate agent can't contact her until tomorrow. Fingers crossed that the offer is accepted.
Beoz, we sold our home in Perth then bought a house to live in the UK plus two rental properties.
Sold our primary residence in the UK but have kept the two rentals.
The UK development that we'd purchased an off-plan flat in, and intended to live in, was placed into administration last month. So far we've sunk £113,000 into it. We've engaged a good property fraud solicitor, something stinks....
Now looking for a new home to live in, in Perth.

Nah Kim, we're in Perth! The cold doesn't bother me, one of the reasons I enjoyed living in the UK. The last winter there was a doozy with heaps of snow - I loved it
