Re: Scots Justice
The guy was a patsy. Let him get on with what's left of his life, he didn't even do it in my opinion.

Oh, you mean the guy convicted of the bombing under highly dubious circumstances (no police interview; no trial by jury; not convicted "beyond reasonable doubt", but only "on the basis of probability"), who even some of the victims' families believe is innocent?
That guy? |

English justice: compassionate release of terminally ill long-term prisoners (e.g., Ronnie Biggs). American justice - no compassionate release of long-term prisoners - let them rot and die in jail = vengeance ! |

Excerpt below..... The governor of Greenock Prison recommended to Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill that Megrahi be released on account of his condition. Many of those who echo that opinion also question whether Megrahi was actually guilty of the Lockerbie bombing, a position held by Dr Jim Swire whose daughter died in Lockerbie in 1988. He commented: "The sooner he is back with his family, the less I shall feel a weight of guilt that he has ever been put in a Scottish prison. I think he is not guilty." |

Yes he would be guilty no doubt and blamed for everything else in the world that we seem to get blamed for and he would be pilloried for observing a minutes silence on Remembrance Sunday and for daring to fly the flag of his country! Strange that one isn't it?
