The fact that that website even exists is pretty scary

Some BBC Q's and A's on different issues:

If Yes, an SBC is proposed incidentally.

And there is the other shoe. I've been waiting for it....

http://www.scotsman.com/news/uk/call...-yes-1-3362897

Which of course would mean not only a much greater chance of Cameron getting back in, but zero say for any scottish MPs about the terms of any independence (eg they would get shafted, big time).

Final prediction is some nice affront to scottish pride just before the independence vote - probably by some old Tory. Got to push those undecideds the right way for Cameron.

I think this highlights a slightly different but serious issue since devolution. That is, laws for England are decided by votes from representatives of other parts of the UK, whereas the Welsh Assembly and Scottish Parliament can make laws in certain areas by themselves.

It's England that has been shafted since devolution due to not having its own parliament.

England has indeed been shafted by not having its own parliament. My vote for Scotland is a definite YES as that will thankfully mean the end of the yoo-kay and Independence for England!

So, I'm interested, what laws have the scots or welsh got through that have been counter-productive to the English? Or alternatively, what laws have been prevented from being passed that would have advantaged the English?

I think the principle is far more important than specific examples.

England has people representing other areas of the UK being part of the decision making process. Scotland does not, Wales mostly not. It's undemocratic - people complain about unelected Eurocrats, but what about the unelected* politicans making decisions for England.

* unelected in the sense that no-one in England voted for them, and their presence is effectively imposed on England-only (or England/Wales only) decisions

England will need to enforce strict border controls against Scottish migrants.
