You know what worries me most? The fact that this stupid kid is still innprison
And his family is still demented with worry/grief etc.... Looks like they are charging him on three counts..... Their hell wont be over for years....

Obviously I never name the Byford Two..... They have served their time and it would be unfair to embarass them further, or add to their trauma by identifying them by name, being former detainees of her majesties government.... They just want to live their lives peacefully away from the public eye... I respect their decision.

This young mans name is out there, as is his picture.... That wasnt their choice.

Yes I agree
heard so many horror stories from friends who use this forum. not just stalkers but really nutters who try to spread fear by making it personal.

i have had a few, but they cant get to me because they have to believe the pish i type on here before they make an attack

and if they quote me, then the laughs on them

i change my point of view every two seconds lol

if i was asked to stand by a post i made on here a year ago i would have to laugh

i cant even remember what i posted the next morning lol

but it is my opinion at that time

i often send new posters a message to remove their kids names from the forum

i also never add names to photos of other posters on here unless they dont mind.

i have a few photos of someone on here that we could all point and laugh at, but i wouldnt do that and she would kick the shite of me if i did lol

its quite simple really
if someone posted a PM to me saying that they were going to get hurt or something like that, then i would just laugh
if they named them and added an age.. then i would start to think

Funny... Had a really interesting conversation with a white south african, a black south african and me... Who checked each avocado during the eighties ...the other day at work.....

We're all living here in australia, able to live and work and socialise with no issues...

Love that... Tho we would have all been at daggers drawn in the early eighties...

there's very little about this in the news... Perhaps because diplomatic work is still going on behind the scenes... But I'll be "out there" campaigning if this kid isnt released... And is left to rot in a cell after due process and diplomatic efforts have failed..

My only hope is that there is MUCH MORE going on behind the scenes then we know about

This kid reminds me of an old saying.. 'Perhaps the purpose of your life is merely to serve as a warning to others'.

Latest news is that he has been moved to an Immigration Detention Centre, awaiting the court process...

A step closer to home via "deportation?"

Or a cycnical political comment on children of illegal immigrants being held in detention centres in Australia.....

Wait watch and see...

As expected, the media have moved in and the family has apparently signed a deal for $200,000 for their story. Why am I not surprised?

I am not sure who I am more disgusted by, the media or the kid's parents, or even us, the general public, who lap up these stories, hence feeding the vicious cycle of news trash going around...

Yep I predicted that too, in this thread.

The aussie taxpayer again will be left with millions of dollars of legal fees and intervention by rudd, gillard etc .... Why isnt profit money taken off the family to pay for it

Also, the hanibal lectar type mask the kid is wearing, nowt to do with the Indonesian police, just a prop by the family no doubt it adds to the drama ( and channel 9 fees )

Bunch of tossers no sympathy.

The mother for sure is still in Bali, they face huge expenses flights/accommodation/legal fees.. I'm pretty sure they wont have planned for these by saving in advance.... How else will they pay for all this????

Maybe if the kid had been properly supervised in a foreign country and hadn't bought drugs in the first place, they wouldn't have to pay for it all... I don't see Channel 9 rushing to pay for the legal expenses of other kids caught buying drugs here in Australia or any other country that has lighter penalties for drugs.

Sorry Eddie, I'm in the no sympathy camp as well. Although as I said, this whole thing is unhealthily fed by the general public thirst/fascination for, and acceptance of trashy media. And I am putting myself in that basket as well, though I tend to try to avoid the sensationalist crap most of the time, but I don't always succeed
