Scams
I am moving to OZ in January and I am interested to find out if there are any "latest scams"
I remember in the UK getting a huge internet bill because I thought the deal was unlimited but the small print said it is unlimited but you must log off after an hour and log back on again or you will be charged a fortune.

Re: Scams
If someone comes to your front door and says they are conducting a survey
and asks you to show them your bum, do NOT show them your bum.
This is a scam. They only want to see your bum.
I wish I was told this yesterday, I feel so stupid and cheap

I had one of them accounts as well!
Here you get so much broadband usage per month, then I think they put you on to dialup speed. Try to keep track of how much you are using on average now so that you can try to find the right deal for you when you get here.
(That's if you can get broadband)

Re: Scams
You will need to read the small print when signing up for broadband to make sure of what you are getting.
Some info here on other scams: Scamwatch
I've had a chain letter come in the post with a coin attached saying please send money to "such and such" etc and to foward the letter on to another 20 people. It had a Darwin postmark on it.

My mate told me about a pub where all the locals BUY you lots of drinks and get you totally rat ar*ed then end up having lots of sex!
It was a scam.
I went to that pub and nothing like that happened to me.
Guess she was lucky!
