Same size Double/queen??
 

Hello, after spending months sleeping on the floor we went out to get a bed frame for our double mattress, spent way to much money on a queen bed frame. Frame now delivered and mattress to small. Big argument re Australian and UK bed sizes!!!!! Now have to buy new mattress!!

so is a queen a double in the UK?? (and what is a bungalow bed ??) :huh:

A queen is about the same size as a UK king.
You will also find that duvets, sorry Doonas and pillows are bigger than UK one too.

dont need doonas as its still warm at night but one of my work mates has an electric blanket!!!!!

simon as a fellow cairns resident have to say I am starting to feel the chill at night definitely a lot cooler than when we arrived in Jan lol

we have now graduated to having a bed throw on at night and no ceiling fan :eek:
