So... does today's news make any difference to how 'safe' you feel where you are (as in which country/part of a country you live in).

Would you rather be in another country altogether or is no-one safe/unsafe?

Given that, despite his ma being from Scotland, the Scottish have pissed Trump off in the past so I wonder if he'll try to make the country pay. Probably not, but who knows what this guy will do! Saying that, I don't feel any unsafer personally. Not sure if I'll feel different or the same in Oz.

Interested to hear thoughts.

Put it this way. I think the probability of a nuke being detonated somewhere over the next 4 years just went up significantly.

I also think the probability of GFC II over the next 4 years just went up too.

Well women don't appear to care for their safety in to great numbers, with so many voting for him, regardless of all the alleged sexually inappropriate behaviour. They and white working class males appear to have got him over the line.


Probably those in the Baltic states and Ukraine have the most immediate to fear. If he does half the things he claimed during the election they'll be much more to fear in many more places.


Not a Trump fan by any means, but found Clinton hard to stomach.

Why do people draw conclusions on voting demographics from polls, the polls were massively inaccurate. So you have no idea who voted for Trump because the ballot is secret.

Not everyone but many. Farmers haven't just 'lay down and died" when he tried quite forcibly to cut through their houses and land to make golf courses etc. Nicola and he aren't pally either

When it comes to Russia and it's machinations in the MEast then Yes.... When it comes to China and the South Pacific... No.

Who really poses a bigger threat on the World stage.....China probably. So maybe not safter overall.

There again the Chinese dont have a record of threat to the rest of the world...up to this point.
