I don't understand why this ever went to trail as others of said won't be losing any sleep over this.
Kids get on death row for smuggling drugs without question whats the hold up with this just pull the dam trigger.

What about the backlash after he is hung his defence has already threatened his supporters will take revenge

Always found them to be polite, well mannered people.
Never saw any of them cowering in fear or anything like that, as you suggest.
And garlic makes many a meal nice and tasty.
