The sacrifice of not coming on BE has been worth it
I was once a regular poster on here, infact some may remember the BE cafe, way back in 2006. I had to force myself to stop coming on BE as my studies were being affected. It was hard not popping on and seeing what was happening.
But today i got my final exam results and i passed so i am now the proud owner of a BSc degree with the OU.
Many of the nursey peeps on here have helped an awful lot with my course work so i want to say a big thank you.
All i need is the visa and our new life in Darwin can begin.
Im hoping my degree will open doors for me allowing me to go to a 'brick' uni so i can get a nursing degree and get back to a career i had before i had my 3 children.
Asher, i owe you a large drink or two

Congratulations! We have been in Darwin nearly 3 weeks. It's not the best time of the year being the wet season but I wish you all the best with the future. ES

PS, do you want to do nursing or have you considered other options?
If your degree is health or science related you may be able to gain entry to stuff like Post graduate sonography and other health careers.
Might be worth you looking up Post Graduate/Graduate diploma courses available to you.

Brilliant news Mandy. My sister did an OU degree and I'm so impressed by the amount of work, effort and stress that goes into it as well as having to work, bring up children etc at the same time.
Well done, great christmas pressie.

Well done Hun.
You've worked hard, and stuck to your guns with both the Degree & the visa.
A lot of people would have given up long ago.
Dont forget, whenever you guys are visiting Melly, theres a bed, a beer (or baileys ) and a barbie to celebrate.
