I don't think the AB's suffer from nerves, it's just a hiccup.

Yeah but the All Blacks are so used to going into World Cups unbeaten for ages and then choke at the moment when it is all too important. Maybe the stumble has come at just the right time for them?

Just saying that they are beatable and that gives other teams hope and some degree of confidence of beating them.
I'll vote once I know which teams remain in the fray after to the pool games.

Possibly yeah. I really do think they will win it on home soil, to be honest. This is their best opportunity by far and they have an awesome team.

However, the Aussie's second half try shows how dangerous they will be in the WC (even though Genia's pass was forward in my eyes). That try came completely against the run of play. But Genia really did expose some of the slow AB's at the breakdowns.

Australias issue is they think the game is about backs. When they come up against forwards on song their backs do not get the ball to be dangerous with. Then they complain everyone else plays boring rugby.
All credit to the Wannabes, that first half they took the game by the scruff of the neck and it took the AB's far too long to aclimatise. Had they been able to address their issues in that first half instead of leaving it until the second half they would have probably steamrollered the Aussies.

You're right though that it's League in Sydney that is the game. Union is for Rah-rahs - and rightly so.

Dallaglio's Worldcup show seems quite a nice build up to the world cup, anyone catch that?

I see that Ch9 is going to be showing the Australia games and the quarters, semis and finals, does anyone know if another free-to-air channel will be showing the England games? I was hoping perhaps Gem would be.....

Can't ever recall England winning the 6 nations being front page news at home???
English football is different. But that's only front page to turn the managers into a root vegetable.
It's when aussies lose they are at their most arrogant. As if the sport doesn't exist.
