Well it was not over as a contest!
And we can play the if game...that miskicked Welsh penalty in the first...
France were good sports in victory too, I thought.

Indeed.. but it is a game, I am otherwise a Francophile..
hmmm....plenty of Englishmen screaming for Wales today....going back to that old point...when did Ireland or Scotland scream for England....

There maybe bitter folk about but who gives a fart when good rugby is to be seen. I think many a jock, taff and paddy were glad to see a northern team win in 2003.

Well that was a riveting game.
A red card after 18 minutes did Wales no favours. They played really well with 14 which France never really took advantage of. The try conversion kick was rushed with complacency, I felt, and it didn't go over which was key.
Well done France and sad luck Wales.
France v All blacks final will be enthrallling.

That was a terrible ruling by the ref. There was no malice in that tackle, he did not drive him into the ground, he was not over 3 feet off the ground. The ref did not even bother to consult with the line official and went straight for red. At such an early stage in such a huge game the ref should have taken a bit more time to think about the consequences of such a harsh interpretation of the laws.
Allain Roland, French father and from Ireland, the team beaten by the Welsh the week before. Why was a SH ref not officiating this match?
The Final next week is now a no contest, whoever wins today will walk the final next week.
