There are loads around Brisbane and further north.

Lorikeets are more common though.

What kind are they? We get pale-headed rosellas all the time but haven't seen any red ones. We get lories and king parrots, though.

Has any one got any photo's as i don't know what these birds look like.
My eldest son enjoys watching birds in my garden and he would love to see some colourful birds.
Thanks Mandy

They like tree cover and feed on nuts and seeds. Grab a 'seed cake' from your local Coles or whatever and hang it in a tree. You'll have loads more by a week. We regularly have about 12 of them in the garden during the day, and yesterday we had two King Parrots, male and female. Beautiful!

There are rosellas found throughout Australia.

Three species are found in the Brisbane area: Crimson, Eastern and Pale-headed.

Sounds like Eastern Rosellas. Crimsons are very common at Lamington if you ever get the chance to go there; It's a magical place.

I'm fine thanks! Just very very busy with work so I don't get time to come here much. Good to see yous settling in fine!
