Re: Rolf Harris
As all of this really came from Rolf Harris' fame, would it be correct for the Australian government to see his earnings as profits of crime?

Re: Rolf Harris
Another thing to consider, is it really fair to Judge someone in 2014 using current Morals and standards, something that happened in the 60's when back then things were so different ?
The 2014 judgement may be a long custodial sentence, however if he had been in court in 1971 for the same offence he might have got a good behaviour bond and a fine.
He definitely did the wrong thing, but I believe his sentence should be consistent with the era in which he committed each crime.

Women and children may have been less encouraged to speak out but most decent people still knew right from wrong.

I haven't been following this one too closely, but you got to wonder how his wife and child, who have supported right the way through, feel now that he has been convicted in a court a law by a jury ...... surely they must be questioning their own beliefs.

I agree, I don't think I could live with myself if I covered up for a family member or anyone. They are equally responsible for anything that went on after they knew.

So many of these cases ignore the family. Condemn the man if you wish do, but spare a thought for a family struggling to deal with a situation they could never have anticipated.

Who says family 'covered up for him'? All to often the family of the perpetrator have absolutely no idea what is going on, until it appears on the front page if s tabloid rag.

My mum is one who is always on the side of the man. Every single time something like this comes out she says the same thing, "But don't you think the girls ask for it?"
"What, eight year olds?"
"They can be very sexy you know."
