RIP S/Con Damian Leeding

According to the news tonight (and the QPS website) Det S/Con Damian Leeding's family have made the heartbreaking decision to turn off his life support machine (within the next 24 hours). He had been first on scene at an armed robbery where hostages had been taken. He was shot in the face.

RIP brother in blue. You kissed your family goodbye and went off to work, trying to help others and paid the ultimate price.

A reminder at what a day at work can mean hits us all hard. My thoughts are with the family and his colleagues at this time :(

A terrible fate for a man whose job it was to keep the streets safe.

RIP.

Oh shit! Did his dad and sister get out to say goodbye before they switched him off? So sad and so fricking unnecessary. :(

May he rest in peace.

His family were flying over from the UK (not sure whether they are British or not) but I don't think they will have got here in time.

Truly awful :(

I wonder if his killer realises what he's done?

I mean truly appreciates the impact on everyone affected?

My sympathies to this policeman's family and colleagues.

May he Rest In Peace.

Whilst distroying the lives of his own family and himself forever. Not that I care about him at all but the ripples from one moment of madness spreads far and wide.:(
