Make the neighbours think you have a poltergeist byt crawling around your house on hands and knees, flicking lights on and off randomly.

Avoid scoffing cakes and biscuits because "I just saw them in the fridge and couldn't resist" by not buying them in the first place. You fat bastard.

Get yourself ready for Aussie beer by getting the local tramp to piss in a glass for your consumption.
Best served in a frozen glass in a community hall or similar to give the effect of being in an aussie pub...Lifeless and with no atmosphere.

Next time it hits 20C...put on a coat, hat, sarf and gloves...and stand around complaining how cold it is.

If you work in IT, get used to talking about routers (say: rowters) because routing (rooting) means something completely different.

I just can't get my head around the fact that the pubs here are either rickety old places with the bar being propped up by yocals with one eye on the horse racing and the other on the bikini girl behind the bar or they are big open "Bingo hall" type places that are too brightly lit and have the atmosphere of a sunday morning mass.
Give me a good old british pub anyday.

There are some decent pubs around Brissie without big sports screens, Keno or TAB :)

Yes, I agree. The pig and whistle is my current favourite place to get a livener before hitting the valley...Great place for watching Premiership football or cricket too...I watched a few of the six nations games there too.
It is essentially a Brit theme pub though...A kind of equivalent to Walkabout in the UK.
Where do you go drinking in the city?

The Pig & Whistle is a fave with me too. Lately I've also been to The Normanby out on Musgrave road, The Paddington (in Paddington, natch) and a few over the west side of the CBD I can't remember the names of.

The Valley's OK if you're not an old git like me and can bear the loud music :D
