She was one of those parents whose catchphrase was "Noone is looking at us".
Mum - every man jack and his dog is effing looking at us
Always remember being on public transport with my brother and her in the early 80s - I was on the cusp of starting school - maybe 11 odd. My mother stood up and said in her loud, strident, rather nice, old gal's school voice:
"Come on - let's get home and get you young men in to the bath".
Died..nearly twice over...

It's only since we became adults that we realised how wide-ranging her interests and talents were.
Now she is retired, she does a lot of charity work and is often on the radio.
She also seems really well-connected - hardly a week goes by when someones dies and it turns out she knew them - whether it was a famous explorer, the old dear who was famous for sailing around the world on a yacht in the 70s and recently walked around the world in the not too distant past, or something, or a politician. Alot of the children's books that we ourselves enjoyed in the 70s she sends for my daughters are signed by the original authors who she was friends with.

When I was a lot younger I went to see Edwin Starr at a nightclub in Bristol. Unfortunately (for him) I got off my face and climbed up on stage with him. Bless him, when he saw me staggering through some rope surrounding the platform he shouted "she's comin' through!". We then sang/slurred War together - priceless, but extremely embarassing too. He even gave me a peck on the cheek - true gent.

Embarrassing eh too many facts to mention let me think.......
not many people know about my breast reduction but eh the most embarrassing moment has to be being somewhere I shouldnt have been.....
