Retrain?
So life's good, wife has a great nursing job with a ace ladder to work up.
Kids are loving skool and Oz life in general. And while i have loved being a uk plasterer for over 16yrs in Uk,(Im 38)i now find myself doing a different plastering,ie tape and jointing. I have been doing it since we got here nealy 20 months now,and while i have picked it up and now partner a aussie guy and we do some ace jobs for builders,i'm "over" carrying 6mtr plasterboard on my stilts and running around like a looney lol. So what would be a good job in today's economy to learn? Dont want to do a "tools" job, more or a change of scene i feel. maybe a Construction supervisor role would be good, but fancy a change. Maybe a shop? maybe internet based? Maybe go to Tafe and learn a computer course? I have a "mac" and want to take over the world on it:thumbsup: |

Re: Retrain?
Hi there
Gosh haven't seen you around for ages! Glad to hear most of it is all going well. Actually health and safety is quite a good way to go, a friend of mine works for an industry group and was just saying the other night that there is a shortage of them so that is quite good to get into. The other thing there is a shortage of is earth movers! Bobcat operators et al, we had such a hard job pinning one down to sort our garden out as they are just in demand so much. Even better if you can get yourself a big truck to take the earth away in. Good luck! KK |
