We've tracked down some nice Indians now, our favorite at the minute still being Birkdale Spice Avenue http://thespiceavenue.com/index.html also more Indians at http://www.indiaoz.com.au/restaurants/qld.php.

So now we need to track down the nicest Chinese and Italians for sit down meals not takeaway, anybody got any tips for Brisbane???

Try China Town
China house is very good.
Kabuki is very good as well (Teppanyaki)

Oh and the Indian in Strathpine is not too bad.

Have never had the chance to try the Indian in Strathpine as it was closed, in the usual Aussie way when it should be open, when we tried to go. However, Zigaballis the Italian next door not too bad although very small menu.

Had heard there was a nice Indian at Boondall then the non-blonde decided to talk posh when she was about to leave and said it's now Boondarl, probably 'Boondarl by the Sea'... .

Yep the pizza is nice from Zigaballis.
The Thai place next door is also really good.

Actually those three places at the cross roads are the only good places in the area

Oh and a word of warning, don't eat the sea food buffet from the golden dragon (think thats the name) or the toilet will become a close friend

Beccofino in Teneriffe is very nice, authentic Italian. Quite trendy though which might put some off.

King of Kings in the Valley for Yum Cha (Chinese) or else the Landmark at Sunnybank (get in early for both esp Sunday yum cha - it is manic!)

There's another chinese place in the west end but can't remember the name of it right now.

For italian, I love trio romanos on the gold coast highway at Mermaid beach / Miami - it's a tiny hole in the wall restaurant that seats about 20 but has fantastic homemade food (should note here that I havent been in a few years due to being inthe UK, but am planning to go there again next week!)

Kis Cucina at Graceville is apparently very good, although the owner can be a bit overbearing and over solicitous.
