Renting the house

We have decided we are not selling but are going to rent the house out. There is loads of interest and we can easily cover the mortgage. We are moving back to my parents (dreading it) for 6 months which should give us about £10K extra for January.
Still no news on the Visa but as I have now agreed a date with work (30th December) as my last day for my 2 year career break (back for the olympics to make a fortune) we will be heading out in Jan 2010 with either our 176 or a temporary visa. OH has passed her teaching australia tests so she can teach we just need a visa to get there.

Getting extremely excited now, i know its still 5 months off but every day I feel that we are making progress to realising a dream. Even if we only live there for a few years or so its the adventure I am craving.

At least this way I keep my job and house if we do decide its not for us.

We have only spent a few months in Oz and none of it was working so we cannot definately say its for us but at least we are trying it.

only : 197 days, 20 hours, 23 minutes, 33 seconds to go

Thats only 400 sleeps lol

Good luck with it all!

I'll start counting down our sleeps once we can book our tickets. 14 months is going to seem rather a lot in days :(

As we can book the flights 12 months in advance we'll be booking as soon as flights become available for September 2010. I'm already counting down the months but I guess once it gets to a year & I know the date we are definitely flying I can start counting down the weeks & then days once it gets a bit closer

May be once our flights are booked family will stop saying 'if' you go & finally realise it's 'when' we go.
