Removal from Electoral Register
We are having elections here in Northern Ireland in the next day or two, couldn't tell you when as I accidently (on purpose) threw out my polling card, OOPSIES....
So then it got me thinking, how do I go about removing myself from the electoral register, or should I just leave myself on it? Hmmmmm, anyone? |
Re: Removal from Electoral Register
You can continue voting in Northern Ireland (except for local elections) if you so wish.

As you will be away and therefore unable to complete the form and sign it - they will remove you automatically (after a few months). [Unless you re-register as per danfolkstone's post above.] |
Re: Removal from Electoral Register
Hi Jen we phoned the local election office and they just required a letter informing them of your wishes. They also got back to us very quickly informing us it had been done. I felt happier taking myself off because of voting id theft in Ni and the electoral roll being used for all sorts of identity confirmation.
