Think there was a grant available for that, might have finished now though.

Knowing our luck, it probably finished in the 1980s or something!

We did receive a very generous rebate on the heat pump though, so no complaints there.

No, it's still available. You get $1600 which in most cases covers the whole cost so you don't have to pay a penny. A friend of mine has just had hers done and the company that fitted it sorted out all the paperwork too and they got paid direct from the government so my friend didn't have to do a thing. If anyone is in Perth and interested, PM me and I'll give you the details.

Federal or state grant?

Not sure. Think it's federal, but not certain.

We also had our insulation done with compliments of kevin rudd and definately feels warmer now. Definately recommend it to others and from july 1st its even easier dont need to pay anything out, can't be bad

Winter is my favourite time of year here.....nothing beats having the option of those little cold bits to put your feet on in the bed when you get too toasty.

Much easier to rug up than cool down in my opinion. I also feel that not being stuffed in a fresh air free sealed hot box is far more healthier, we have had far less colds since being here.

My name is Jan and I am an Australian Winter appreciator
