Re: Rain
Send some of that rain over here. We face level 3 water restrictions next month, the grass has all died and I save bits of water in the shower to chuck on the plants!

Actually London (where I live) gets significantly less rain than Brisbane. The difference is Brisbane seems to get lots and lots of it in very short spaces of time which personally I prefer.

We desperately desperately need rain & I dont mean the drizzle that most people from the UK consider to be rain - we need full on widespread bucketing rain for 3 or 4 days & then perhaps it might put enough in the dams to tide us over til next summer without going to Level 3 water restrictions. To fill them (or at least fill them enough to get rid of all water restrictions) we need about 2 weeks of solid rain in the catchment areas.
Yes we do get more rain than London & yes it's for exactly the reason that you said because we get most of our rain in summer from storms. Dismally failed wet season for the last 5 years is why we are in the predicament we're in.
Wonder if I can set up my account to ignore threads about how cold/hot/humid it is or how people don't like the rain?
