Default Queensland Bucket List

I've been putting together a bucket list on Twitter for my website and figured it would be a good topic for here?

Suggestions so far:

Diving with Minke whales on the Barrier Reef
Lava Tubes at Undara
Visiting the oldest rainforest in the world (didn't know we had it in Qld)

Anyone got any more?

Mine always involve Barrier Reef although I reckon camping on Fraser comes a close second.

Wouldn't bother! Complete waste of time in my opinion. It took 4 hous to drive there as it is litterally in the middle of nowhere and drive 4 hours back.

The photos they show on their website have been HEAVILY photoshopped.

I'd never heard of it until today, but seems popular with Twitter followers?

We don't. There are some very primitive rainforest plants up here (such as Idiospemum), indicative that rainforest on the Mt.Carbine and Mt Bartle-frere tablelands are ancient; but not the oldest.

For the record: rainforest anywhere else up here (such as around Cairns) is less than 10,000 years old.

Save the bucket to:

a) Bail out water
b) Put on head to protect from flying debris.

A visit to Fraser Island.
We didn't camp, but it is an awesome place to go. Such an adventure.

Mackenzie lake, lake Birrabean( like Mackenzie without the crowds) and Lake Wabby.

The Barrier Reef is great too..

Agreed on all of this - haven't been to Fraser for about 14 yrs when backpacking - would love to go back and do it again.
