First born was abused by several shoppers in Woolies last night because they'd run out of bread. She remained very polite, don't know where she gets that from One woman bitched that she only had four loaves in the freezer

What's the deal with bread and milk anyway? Surely something that does not go off as quick would be wiser.

Oh yeh, wisdom ...

Went on a junk food run there about an hour back. The panic buyers left plenty of Maggi noodles behind.

It is about to overflow and we have got one of our grandparents out of the floods, we have one more related family in the zone but we don't know what they're doing. I was suppose to go to the Sunshine coast as a family together to meet up with some people, it is canceled since motorways are blocked and highways are too dangerous. This is shit scary.

If you have a working oven (which I don't) then bread is just flour, yeast, water and milk as far as I remember from my baker days. Should help pass some time too.

Edit: Scratch the milk.

Didn't notice if there was milk in woolies earlier. We have about 3 litres for two of us which would normally last a week anyway. Yeast is another question.

We've not been venturing far from home. Roads north of us are closed, we could use Clem 7 to get down south but no need.

We're right at the bottom of the Goldie, at the moment, we're fine but morons are panic buying. First Born's Woolies has been really busy yesterday and today, they're calling in staff like it's christmas. No bread by 7 last night and milk running low. Part of the problem is that many of the supplies are coming from the north and so just aren't getting through.

Is the Newell still open ? At least that way you can get the trucks up from Melbourne.

No idea where the Newell is The floods down in North NSW probably don't help though, they're trying to get us from all sides.

Thats the Inland road from Goodawindi to the Victorian Border Tocumwal/Shepparton and connects with the Hume highway from there. AKA known as the quick way to Queensland for Melbournians.
