Puzzle

Here is a puzzle for those who think they can think outside the box

A Man and his son were driving on the motorway and had a horrible high speed crash. The father was killed instantly but the son was rushed to hospital by ambulance.

When they got him into surgery the surgeon came in, took one look and said "I can't operate on him" When asked why the surgeon said "because he is my son"

How could that be true?

Cause the surgeon is his mother?

Or is it more tricky than that:D

Your no fun:p I put lots of 'him' and 'he' in it to root out peoples supposition that all surgeons are male. Oh well:rolleyes:

Mrs JTL

You'd be surprised. I got asked this question in a game years ago and got it straight away. The lefto-pinko-feminist* who was also playing just didn't get it. Her excuse was that, in the question we got, the surgeon was described as old and that threw her.

* but I don't hold that against her :D

Okay here's another I remember from the same game.

A man is born in Boston, Massachusetts to a man and a woman both of whom were born in Boston, Massachusetts. However the man is not a US citizen. How could this be?

The Persians fired cats from catapults into an Egyptian city they were beseiging. As Egyptians considered cats as gods on earth, they surrendered rather than see more cats die. So "a cat ended the war"
