Printer Cartridge Replacements
 

A printer/scanner/photocopier/etc that I bought last December in Sydney for $110 is now demanding it's first ink feed. The best that I can get for the set of 4 cartridges is about $70. Does anyone know good Aussie online sources for cheaper replacements/DIY cartridge refill kits?

Try ebay

I just got 24 cartridges delivered for $50 and it only took 4 days to get here.

Thanks, I'll take a look there. Ebay seems to be the solution to a lot of overpriced Aussie buying dilemmas. Which reminds me, I have that pesky overpriced calculator still to buy. :rolleyes: Sometimes I wish if my kids would nag me for what they need.

Problem solved - just found a set of cartridges for less than a tenner :thumbup:

...Hmmm does a tenner "work" with $? :unsure:

Ebay.au: A Hong Kong seller

Typed in the cartridge number and sorted by price. A variety of solutions from ink refill kits to cartridges came up. I'd actually prefer to buy a refill kit but replacement cartridges won on price. And that's more important right now.

It's an Aussie printer! :p

You could have a point, Alfresco. But a $10 gamble is better than a $70 rip off :D

I've also used a Hong Kong ebay source for Pixma cartridges, which are "chipped".
One of them didn't work (the printer thought it was empty) but apart from that they've been great, and at the price, even if a few of them didn't work you would still be way ahead.
