Re: Praise the Muslims
If Westerners went to a strong Muslim country and started burning flags and shouting about killing those against Christianity, they wouldn't last five seconds. They can argue with the filmmakers as much as they like but behaving exactly as the filmmakers described in countries that are nothing to do with the stupid, badly made thing is hardly a sensible move.

Re: Praise the Muslims
The Church of Scientology has been recognized as a religious denomination in its home country, the United States,[2] and has received full recognition in various other countries such as Italy,[3][4] South Africa,[5] Australia,[6] Sweden,[7] New Zealand,[8][9] Portugal[10] and Spain;[11] it thus enjoys and regularly cites the constitutional protection afforded in these nations to religious practice. Some countries, mostly in Europe, have regarded Scientology as a potentially dangerous cult, or at least have not considered local branches of the Church of Scientology to meet the legal criteria for being considered religion-supporting organizations.[12]

Re: Praise the Muslims
A group of people use "Freedom of speech" as sword and target a specific community / religion and other appreciate.
I thought writer trying to give a balanced opinion but he will not be honoured because he belongs to a world community which is less in percentage.
After a movies now cartoons in French magazine and off course people will defend because its freedom of speech

If you started banning things, we end up being scared to give opinions and a public forum site like this one would be banned
I saw the so called offensive movie and found it comical rather like "The life of Brian". My conclusion is that all religious people are mental...there just offended 97% of the worlds population including my mum

Re: Praise the Muslims
One of the problems with the debate about militant islam is the implicit assumption by many atheists and agnostics that "all religions are essentially the same". This is complete nonsense. The New Testament and the Koran are worlds apart.
Unfortunately, many westerners these days have next to no knowledge of their own religious heritage, let alone knowledge of the other great religions.
Being an agnostic or an atheist is no excuse for being piss ignorant.
