Prague

Can someone please confirm, I can travel to Prague on a Aussie passport ?

Plus any tips for cultural must sees, and decent quality night clubs.

My UK cousin and I are going to paint the town red :)

Lucky you, Prague is lovely! I don't know about passports/visas but I'd heartily recommend the 'Night and Day' bar for some absinthe, the Black Cat beer cellar, the many lovely churches, the castle and just wandering around the area by the bridge soaking up the beautiful buildings.

Have fun!

Forgot to say, the Green Fairy bar is really overpriced, I'd avoid it.

Thanks noted, will make a list of things to do and see what we can cover.

I'm pretty sure as long as Czechoslovakia is in the EEC then Aussie passports are ok for a visit.... Just checked, I can stay for 90 days.... then I have to turn back into a Pom ;)

wont be a problem.

Try to find the bar named "U zlaty tigr" (golden tiger), one of the best brews in town. It is not advertising that much, so it may be a bit tricky. Karlov Most (foot bridge) and surrounding areas are very nice and tourist friendly. I found that best atmosphere somehow is in that type of pub that you'd call "a hole in the wall" and mind that most of the good ones are without flashy signs let alone adverts. That's for keeping the tourist crowds out. Need I tell that prozdroi there is half the price of the tourist places LOL

lucky bugger I love Prague its beautiful.

My best advice for seeing things is just get lost and wander through back streets its amazing the fab bars and eateries you will find when not even looking.

Went to Prague 5 years ago just before coming to perth found it amazingly cheap at the time not sure what its like now.

Avoid pubs and cafes near the clock in the town square where all the tourists gather as its very pricey.

Have a great holiday
