You can "hack" a lot of lifts. If you want to go straight to your floor without the lift stopping at others on the way, press and hold the Close Door button and then press the button for your floor. The feature was built into lifts so paramedics rushing to someones help in an apartment building could get to the ground floor without the lift being stopped.
