Default Population crisis?

Most sources estimate the worlds population to be over 7 billion.

More and more people are coming to the conclusion that the growing population is in fact THE largest threat to the survival of mankind.

Carbon emission savings are great but the natural increase in population outweighs the saving because the user base is increasing so much

So what is to be done?

Routinely execute a few million?

Compulsory abortions?

Knob harvesting?

I was thinking more on the lines of something that would allow survival.

Yup. The rapidly increasing population is the huge woolly mammoth in the room when it comes to climate change/sustainability etc. It is completely unsustainable, and is driving many of the issues that we see today.

But where to begin - that's a good question. The Chinese have failed with their one family-one child policy, and are about to rescind it. The pope won't let people use contraception, and people will normally choose fertility treatment over adoption.

Maybe mass sterilisations or something.

One that only kills Catholics would probably be better. Fillin' up the world with children they can't afford to feed...

A bit harsh to single out one race.

Possibly a selective microbial attack on left-handers?

As long as it doesn't affect the rabbits.

If we knob harvest there will be a major requirement for rabbits.

In what ways is it the largest threat, according to "more and more people"?
