I'll be happy to be able to afford a house in Perth by the time I get there

But of course I will put a pool high up on my wish list if I can afford it, nice to cool you down on a hot day

Though a spa would be nice to sit in in cooller weather with a glass of wine in hand

How about a pool, with a spa built in?

Both - the spa for all year - the pool for when the water is not frozen over

Plus I think the spa is for the adults while the kids can exhaust themselves in the pool.

in 5 years time I'd like a house, 10 a pool and 15 years time a spa - when we could afford it all, although if we won the lottery I'd have it all plus a lap pool by Christmas

We have a big spa as it can be used all year round. A pool is great if you have little uns but unless it's heated can only be used in the summer months.

However, the missus would still love a pool.....
