Points on licence

Hi im in NSW, I had some points (speeding) added on my drivers licence over 2 years ago now and was wondering how long they are kept on there for and do they get taken off automatically after a certain amount of time or do i have to get them taken off myself?

They come off automatically after 3 years.

ok, thanks for that, I thought it was 2 years and was wondering why i hadnt heard anything.

I don't think that they actually do contact you to tell you. They just silently vanish.
