Smile Ping Pong Cricket Series 2010 thread. Who's gonna win?

Can Australia rise from their Ashes defeat or will England squash them like a bug?

Might as well include the 2 x T20 matches. So nine (9) games in total. Best of 9.

Saw one of my neighbors out the front this afternoon, so i went down to the garage and found a couple of house bricks. Carrying one in each hand i walked up to him and said "Hi Pete". He asked straight away what the bricks were for.
So as soon as i place the bricks on the ground my arms shoot up in the air and i started singing ' Enger-land Enger-land

He thought it was pretty fun tho after calling me a few names.

OK yeah i can see now thats not so easy to picture.

So when he asks why i am holding a brick in each hand with arms straight down. I reply, when i put them down this happens. Arms shooting skywards and
bursting into song. That help?

Wonder if England will actually be arsed after getting the Ashes victory, remember after the 5-0 tonking last time we won the one day series finals 2-0, Freddie looked almost embarrassed to hold the trophy aloft.

Mind you there is the W Cup coming up soon as extra incentive. Which one day specialists are you most looking forward to seeing in action besides Morgan?

That's my cricket interest out of the way for the summer. I cannot stand ODI or T20 cricket regardless of whether England are winning or not

Ditto.

Actually, I can watch a ODI match. If there's nothing else on. But I can't abide T20.

Neither can the Aussies, no captain Clarke & only Piggy Smith, Twatto & Mitch of their Ashes heroes remain.

Australia squad for Twenty20 internationals against England: Cameron White (capt), Tim Paine (wk & vice-capt), Aaron Finch, David Hussey, Mitchell Johnson, Brett Lee, Stephen O'Keefe, James Pattinson, Steve Smith, Shaun Tait, David Warner, Shane Watson.

Interestingly, James Pattinson is the younger brother of Darren Pattinson who played one test for England two years ago against South Africa. His selection was quite controversial, in similar fashion to Michael Beer's selection. They needed a pace bowler for the game at Trent Bridge so picked a Notts-based seamer instead of picking someone who had consistently played well throughout a season.
Michael Vaughan said in the press interview before the game that he had never heard of the guy. How embarrassing!

Ah, got it, I can picture the merry scene

On the subject of formats, I don't mind an ODI (but can get dull in the middle overs) and 20/20 isn't even cricket really.

I quite like the ODIs. It is different to the tests and I think the Aussies played the tests like they were ODIs. I hear that three of the test team will be in the ODIs.

My feeling is England are on a roll but it won't be a destruction.

Tests are where it matters but ODIs are good fun.

Anyway that is my 2C as I hardly know the teams.

Thumbs up Re: Ping Pong Cricket Series 2010 thread. Who's gonna win?

We've got a different lineup for T20, so we're in with a chance!
