Thanks for taking time and trouble to post pics (you're not bad for a manc ) The pics look fab and I am soooo excited now Going to have a good look at the hotel's etc. in the quieter area's of Phuket. Will let you know what we decide

dont go to the monkey sanctuary its a waste of time as you dont get to see any monkeys.
Because they were mistreated by humans they are kept far away and you are just given a tour of a few noticeboads trhen asked for a donation which is cool but we trekked for a half a day there.

If you want to see real thai have a trek inland a little to phukety town for an afternoon as there are meat and fish markets there and very few tourists so you get to see real thai not commercial tourist thai like so many others do

if this floats your boat that is!

Make sure you go on lotsa off trips to islands and things, about a tenner a pop with lunch included but beautiful and defo a good way to sunbathe
