Karma coming your way (not that mine's probably worth much these days, not on the forum much at all, TOO BUSY WORKING ON MY WEBSITE ABOUT WHAT'S ON IN PERTH AND ENJOYING PERTH AND SURROUNDS MYSELF!!! )

(saw a few hits coming through in my stats from this thread, only reason I'm here )

Might have a browse around the forum a bit now....

Hopefully new liquor licensing laws will have some effect on Perth's 'dullsville' tag:

http://www.perthnorg.com.au/2007/04/...ullsville_tag/

I don't think Perth is perfect, but I do think people would be surprised at how much there is to do if they really looked/new where to look.
It also helps if you know people and/or have good friends you can hang out with, do things with.
Who cares when a pub is half empty when you're with friends... And usually one pub is enough....

I've had a fine time during the week at pubs, like the Brass Monkey on a wednesday, the Queens (or whatever it's called) in Mt Lawley as some examples.

To be honest, pubs are about the most boring thing to me to do, unless I'm with really good company... Would rather see a band (ok, often in pubs), see some theatre or comedy (btw, Brass Monkey on Wednesday night has comedy, and Hyde Park hotel on Thursday, always packed), got a festival, go to the movies, go camping etc etc

anyway, I don't have time for this, I could go on and on and on!!

Last note: it's all relative, depends on what you're into, what you're used to, where you come from........

Spend some time in the South West where everything in Busselton shuts lunchtime Saturday then take a trip to Perth for the weekend...... It feels like New York.

Bloody funny advert on the TV at the moment, 'Come and see what Busselton's got to offer' First scene is a Pelican at the beach, 2nd is a guy on his push bike riding down past the shops and the third is someone standing at the start of the Jetty.

The train wont run along the Jetty anymore as the bastard thing is falling down, so if you want to get to the end you have to walk (and pay) 1.6km to the newish underwater feature. Then you can walk back again (hope your feeling fit and brave) as it's a long way, you have to avoid the railway line and also make sure you dont fall off the side that doesn't have any kind of barrier. When you stagger back off the Jetty you could go to the amusement park which was looks like it was built in the 1950's and left to rot since then.

If Busselton was a girl, you wouldn't want to take her home to meet your parents, she'd be badly dressed, smelly and a bit rough.
Stick with Dunsborough, swingers night down the wine bar tomorrow....lol

Aye, it is true, Perth is shite.

Miles from anywhere and full of hoons and drugs, a bit like liverpool in the sun.
