Personal question for the ladies....
Can anyone help with advise as the which IVF specialist at the Qld Fertility Group is the best, the one in Brisbane, Wickham Terrace. I have researched the specialist on the website, and i have spoken to numerous people at the clinic, but they all say the same, "your better speaking to someone who has used one of specialist and go on their reference" so since not having anyone here in Qld, or infact knowing anyone who has used the facility. Can anyone on here guide me, i do appreciate it is a sensitive subject and if you feel you do not wish to broadcast the information on this thread please PM me and it will be kept soley between you and me.
Thank you in advance.

Anyway, was at the end of my rope after another failed attempt and of course a fortune spent when yet another Consultant told me, maybe you should take aspirin after the embryos are put back. She told me to take 75mg of aspirin every day until 12 weeks pregnant and then stop, apparently it helps the embryo stick to the lining of the womb, which is like seaweed and once it attaches hey presto the aspirin helps it stick.
Anyway, I went again for another treatment, by this stage I was barking mad. I promise you the only thing I did differently was Aspirin!!!!!!!! A baby girl, two years later twins a boy and a girl, and 6 years later another baby boy. Yes I now have 4 kids all through fertility treatment, if it wasn't for technology I would be childless.
If you ever want to PM me, feel free.
Hope this helps, good luck

Can't help with your question, but can advise in some ways. I have been through about 17 years of fertility treatment and for the first 10 years had absolutely no success whatsoever and had our names on the overseas adoption list as you cannot adopt a baby in northern ireland, better to stay with the mother apparently!

I have had a lot of friends who have been through this and even over just a period of a few months I have seen the strain on both them as individuals and as couples.
Good luck and wishes to anyone going down the IVF route.(sorry for the pun)

I have had IVF in the UK, in a sense the treatment worked first time, at week 4 i had a positive pregnancy result but only a low one, by week 6 i had started to miscarry, but didn't give up hope as they had place 2 embryo's back and i lived in hope that maybe just one embryo had come away, after going for a scan a week later, they confirmed that the one embryo has indeed dis-spelled from my body but the second embryo was ectopic and off to surgery i went, they removed the R/H side fallopian tube and said the left side was in an ok condition. Looking back i wish they had taken the left aswell, then at least this time round i wouldn't be faced with another possible ectopic. Saying that, after reading your story, i should be grateful that i have only been doing IVF for just under 12 months and i don't seem to have any side effects to the treatment, i just breeze through it, but i think if i had to continue down this line long term, i too might go mad,,
