Red face Oz building Disasters/DIY Blunders

Just thought I'd start a thread for anyone who has had a disaster/DIY Blunder, or seen a picture of something that has made them think 'OMG!'

I saw this picture of the handy work someone had done when paving around a pool. They must have been drunk at the time!

I'm sure someone will be able to do better, so post away

Ah, the old "couldn't be bothered to put down a proper base for the pavers" trick. Seen that one a few times myself...

I know, it's terrible isn't it!

And that house was actually for rent on a reputable site!

Well, it happens. There's plenty of dodgy geezers out there, and wonky paving can look pretty good for a few months before collapsing under your feet.

"WOTS wrong with the paving, the holes are intended for drainage and the raised paver's are used for a starting block"................ I bet thats what the builder/unhandy-man would say.

I agree.

Anyone thinking of building their own house after Fraser's carry on must be off their rockers.
