The most damning part of the Bhutto interview for me was Sir David Frost completely ignoring the fact that she had just said Bin Laden was dead! Now even if he thought she had made a mistake you would think one of the most respected journalists Britain has produced would of at least checked it out, but no just like a number of other examples that didn't fit the 'official script' it was ignored.
I happened to see a little of Kevin Rudd on ABC last night being interviewed about possible Pakistan complicity and he would not answer any questions of course, he kept repeating the line 'we will have to wait to see the outcome of the US findings. Translation= we are waiting for the offical script to be given to us by the powers that be!

If so Obama would have kept quiet because it would weaken the argument for fighting in Afghanistan, and they would have to admit that they had lost the chance of revenge.

They probably killed his son, and will produce DNA from the sons body, claiming it to be Bin Laden.

I prefer to think of it as healthy skepticism and distrust of all governments and their agents. Can't believe how many people buy the bullshit that's fed to them by the mainstream media, not just about major news events but about the economy too.

Prime minister after prime minister and president after president have been proven liars, why should we believe anything they say? Or is Obama different because he is black and good looking?

Don't forget the other common trait all these people posess which is total ineptitude. I have lived in three countries for a significant period and in every one of them the same perception of cluelessness is evident. Yet most of these people are very wealthy and make very sound personal investments, of course one of the reasons is most of the power of presidents and prime ministers is actually behind the scenes.

When a leader enters office they are almost a messiah i.e Tony Blair or Obama and they offer great hope. At the end of their term these same people are remembered for stuffing things up and the next great hope steps forward in to their own honeymoon period only to leave as a failure. This happens almost every time and in most countries, yet this is all coincidence. Obama's 'change' was of course just the same 'talk'; non specific so that the population would interpret change the way they perceived change needed to be and therefore appeal to all voters and not just those who wanted the same 'change'as Obama.

That same ineptitude is starting to play out with Osama Bin Laden's death which is exactly what these people want us to believe; that these mistakes are not by design just coincidences and the result is that the focus shifts to not what really happened with Bin Laden and how ridiculous it was to throw his body in the sea but for example whether to release the photos or did they need to kill him when he was unharmed etc....., all the while diverting attention away from the bigger questions.

I reckon if he was actually killed the other day, (and that's a big if) he was executed with a shot to the back of the head which is why if there is a photo it is so gruesome - the exit wound being his face .

Remember a few years back the SAS did this to some IRA members in Gibraltar? there was a huge outcry. Even our worst enemies deserve a trial, otherwise we are as bad as them.

I guess there is no way they'd take him alive and put him on trial because he'd tell the world about his days as a CIA agent when he was known as "Tim Osman".

Big boys games, big boys rules. They should have dragged him around Islamabad behind a jeep until dead and then hung his body off a bridge with his testicles in his mouth.

Thats the language they understand.

That's a very good point. A lot of people conveniently forget that this guy was recruited and trained by the CIA to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan. The last thing they want is him emerging and spilling the beans about his time doing that.

I have often said that maybe supporting the mujihadeen in Afghanistan was possibly the wrong move. though the Najibullah regime wasn't one of the most pleasant, it had reasonably altruistic aims at heart - It was big on the separation of religion from state, rights for women, education etc. Perhaps if the socialisation of Afghanistan had been allowed to continue, then it wouldn't be the fraked up mess it is today...
