Even the psychology of clocking the thermometer each morning has stopped working now. I looked this morning and it's 10°C That's not to cold in U.K it's bloody freezing here though!

It was 6 degrees here last night - INSIDE the house!!! God I wish he'd buy a heater....or at least close the doors occasionally!!
Cold again last night but not the bone numbing sort of the night before. See they had snow at Toowomba and mega storms in NSW with few people washed away when the old highway collapsed.

Other half has started mumbling on about well if I bought reverse cycle air conditioning etc..

Ok just got power back after 2 days without electric. Storms very bad, we had 320mm of rain in 2 days eeeeekkkkk, trees down all over the place, even the hospital where I work lost power.

That was Tenterfield, not Toowoomba
It's cold here but not that cold
3.5 degrees overnight on Friday but we were lovely and toasty with our new woodburner - still got the summer quilt on in our bedroom

Brisbane seems to have dropped back down again but not as cold as the other weekend.

Still wonder how acclimatization works as mentaly know it is no where near as bad as UK but physically am cold again.

Yes it was v windy last night and I too couldn't sleep.
Today is cold, 8 degrees my car tells me, I have 4 layers on which includes my big buffalo jacket which hasn't been out of hiding since England
Son still insists on wearing shorts, school polo shirt and a thin jacket, all because it's not 'cool' to wear extra layers :curse:

Think you will find that it was Wendy & Vanessa that avoided that for that reason..., as you know I don't have that problem.

I'm sitting in fleece jumper but still not as cold as Friday 3 weeks ago I don't think. It was 15 C on way home from work at 4pm but wind had dropped quite a bit by then.
